Kall Kwik and The Best to good for the rest
In a closely contested EMG GOLF CHALLENGE 2007, the top 3
teams were all within a point of each other
The sun briefly made an appearance over breakfast, then disappeared
until the contenders were off the course, however the cloudy
weather did not prove a deterrent for good scoring at The Kent
National Golf Club.
With all teams keen to win the top prize and add their name
to the trophy, a shotgun start sent the players off to play
for the prizes.
From single figure players to the higher handicappers, everyone
enjoyed the day, especially the winners, who with the help
of a wild card score, became the EMG Golf Challenge champions
for 2007.
The team of Leslie Hunt and Marc Doust (Kall Kwik Sevenoaks)
and Steve Pinto (The Best of) pipped Square One Resources by
1 point. The winners had 90 points.
Runners up Square One Resources came in with 89 points.
3rd place went to the BBC team, 1 point off the runners up
spot, with 88 points.
Longest Drive winner was Clive Dowell (Dean & Dyball)
and Nearest the Pin was a fine shot to within 3 feet of the
pin by Ben Rough (RBS).

The
hole in one prize, of a £30,000 car remained unclaimed,
although Martin Rush came to within 4 feet of the pin.
The guest speaker, Rasheed Ogunlaru, turned out to enlighten
and entertain the crowd with his talk on the mind and how to
improve your game.
Helen Kitto, the photographer, took the photos for the day,
giving the opportunity for the players to see themselves on
the course over dinner.
