13-16 MAY 2010 CLIENT TRIP TO ST ANDREWS, OLD,NEW COURSE AND KINGSBARNS

I wanted to put in writing the excellent feedback I have received from my guests. Hearing feedback that "everything was perfect" was good to hear. Having been on many hospitality trips and specially golfing trips this was the best trip ever The welcome card in the room and being upgraded to a suite overlooking the 17th tee was stunning. Everyone having caddies for the Old Course was a real benefit and good fun. The service was unobtrusive and not overbearing. Everywhere we ate, Kingsbarns, Old Course Hotel and the Old Course clubhouse, the food was first class. The weather had a big impact on making it memorable too, 3 days of sun and having taken pictures on the Swilken Burn in the sun was great. I will be looking at using EMG Events again to arrange another trip in 2011.

We used EMG to organise a golf day for 80 clients and staff. The initial brief was loose but with their experience in arranging corporate golf days Liz and her team were able to offer us a number of choices. From visiting golf courses to discussing menus we felt as though we were dealing with a professional company who still cared enough about the people they were dealing with. Over all, a very well run day where we spent our time with our clients and Liz's team took care of the running of the event. We look forward to using EMG again in the future.

Historically our golf events have been handled internally. EMG suggested an alternative golf venue to our existing one and this was very well received by our clients. Using EMG Events to co-ordinate the venue, tee times, dining arrangements, etc made a positive impact. My time saved on using EMG Events meant I could focus on my day to day work. Regular discussions took place leading up to the golf day to ensure the day ran smoothly.
Before and during the event, Liz ensured the day ran smoothly, from providing our clients with the details for the day prior to the event, the reception, marking the cards, through to prize giving, it was a stress free day. I could focus on spending the time with my clients.

For some time I had wanted to say thank you to my largest customer but had been unable to find anything that I felt was appropriate for the people I wanted to entertain or crucially would fit the budget I had in mind. When Liz told me about the Paul Foston Academy I immediately knew that I had found an event that would suit my intended guests and having been presented with a number of options I opted for the half day session for a group of six. I am very happy to say that all of the information Liz provided was accurate and informative and that from the moment we arrived Paul looked after us brilliantly. The half day focused on putting and chipping and for one of our group that had never played before the lessons were enough to create another convert to the world of golf, with the rest of the group all saying how much they enjoyed it.
I would like to thank Liz for organising the event and making sure it all went of without a hitch.

Organising events of this nature and on this scale is never easy, and it's important to make it a day to remember for clients - this requires a high level of organisation, time management, and attention to detail. As well as displaying these attributes, Liz provided thorough knowledge of the club and course itself, and her experience in organising golf days was evident. Being able to leave such an important project in Liz's capable hands meant that a substantial amount of time was then free for other work matters.
